The Irrigation and Rural Development department’s Chief Engineer, Uttar, Haldwani has tendered construction of storm water drainage for Haldwani city in Nainital district under Phase 1. The notice reference is Etender notice no. 06/SE/2026-27, with the Superintending Engineer, Irrigation Working Circle, Haldwani inviting bids. Estimated value is ₹378.29 crore on an item rate contract.

The wording matters here. This is a construction notice, not one of the master drainage planning packages the same department floated for other Kumaon and Terai towns earlier this month under notice 04/SE/2026-27. Haldwani sits at the foot of the hills where seasonal streams drop straight onto the town, and Phase 1 is the built response to that.
