Ujjain Development Authority has three drain and footpath packages worth ₹327.47 crore together on the table, and all three parts of the Ujjain storm water drain tender close at 5:30 PM on 31 October 2026.
Three packages, one drainage network
The Ujjain Development Authority, under the state Directorate of Town and Country Planning, has split the work by block. Package 7 covers storm water drain and footpath construction for Block 1A and Block 2 at ₹105.61 crore, reference UDA/ET/26/145. Package 8 takes Block 1B at ₹116.55 crore, reference UDA/ET/26/146. Package 9 takes Block 3 and Block 4 at ₹105.31 crore, reference UDA/ET/26/147.
The three notices went up on the same morning, carry the same deposit and the same 365-day period, and close on the same evening. You can bid for one block or all three. Winning two next to each other lets you run both from a single yard, which matters on a city job where space for storing precast sections is tight.
Each package asks for an earnest money deposit of ₹50,00,000 and a tender fee of ₹59,000, with no exemption allowed. Bid for all three and that is ₹1.5 crore of deposit tied up. The portal lists the form of contract as percentage rate, so you bid above or below the schedule of rates rather than pricing each item yourself.
Bids opened for submission on 25 August 2026 and close at 5:30 PM on 31 October, with opening at 11:30 AM on 2 November. The work period is 365 days for every package, which puts completion inside the Simhastha build-up if award is quick.
What a city drain job needs on the ground
Urban drain work is trench work beside live traffic and existing services. Backhoe loaders do most of the digging because they fit in a lane closure and can shift the spoil themselves, with a tracked excavator brought in where the drain runs deep or hits rock. Precast sections and covers need a pick-and-carry crane that can work off a narrow road.
Footpath work that follows the drain brings in transit mixers for kerb and paving concrete and a small compactor for the bedding. Contractors already working in Ujjain, Indore or Dewas have the shortest haul for material and the easiest time with night-work permissions.
