Twenty national makers appear in this list of cement companies in India, and between them they run plants in 20 states. UltraTech Cement has plants in 18 of those states and Ambuja Cements in 13. Rajasthan has the most national makers with a plant, 11 of the 20. Regional makers are listed on each state page where we have them.
If you run a batching plant or a fleet of transit mixers, cement is the one input you cannot run short of. This list shows which makers have plants near your site or yard, state by state, so you can plan supply around the machines you already use or plan to buy.
Cement companies in India: the national makers and what they make
On this list, national means a maker with plants in three or more states in our records. Two names, HeidelbergCement India and Prism Johnson, show plants in fewer states but are counted with the national makers here.

The websites are the makers’ own, and the table is sorted by the number of states with a plant, so it is not a ranking.
Where are the national cement plants, state by state?
Rajasthan has the most national makers with a plant, 11 of the 20, followed by Maharashtra and Odisha with 10 each. Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and West Bengal have 9 each, three more states have 8, and the counts run down to 2 each in Meghalaya and Punjab. Find your state first, then the states next to it, because a plant just across the border can be closer to your site than one in your own state.

Each state name opens the DesiMachines page for that state, with its regional makers, machine dealers and live tenders, and the table adds Goa, Jammu & Kashmir and Kerala, which show regional makers only.
Which machines handle cement on site?
A different machine does each job around cement on a site in India: mixers turn it into concrete, transit mixers carry the concrete, pumps place it and wheel loaders feed the batching plant.
Concrete mixers and transit mixers come first. A site mixer blends cement with sand, aggregate and water for smaller pours. A transit mixer brings ready-mix concrete from the plant and keeps its drum turning until it unloads.
UltraTech Cement and The India Cements both list ready-mix concrete among their products, so ask them which of their plants supply it near you. For the truck itself, see the roundup of cement mixer truck makers in India.
A concrete pump takes over at the pour. It sends the concrete through a boom or a pipeline to where it is needed. That saves carrying it by hand, and it reaches upper floors and tight spots that a truck cannot.
At the batching plant, wheel loaders feed sand and aggregate into the bins, so the plant keeps batching without waiting for material.
If you are unsure which machine suits your pour size and site, the machine finder narrows it down once you answer a few questions about the job.
Most enquired models on DesiMachines for this work. Concrete mixers: AJAX ARGO 4500 and Tata Signa 2830.K 8 Cum REPTO RMC; concrete pumps: AJAX ASP 3009 and Aquarius 1003 E; wheel loaders: Cat 966H and JCB 440-5.
How do contractors choose a cement supplier?
Start with distance. Cement is heavy, so freight adds to what you pay at the site, and a plant close by keeps that cost down. Use the towns in the state table to find the nearest plant, then ask the dealer which plant your bags come from.
Check delivery next. A mixer or pump that waits for cement earns nothing, so ask about lead times in the busy months and whether the dealer will hold stock for your pours.
Ask for the manufacturer’s test certificate and look for the BIS mark (Bureau of Indian Standards) on the bag. Settle credit terms and the minimum order in writing, since both vary from dealer to dealer.
What you buy matters as well as who makes it. The guide on how to choose cement type and grade covers that, and the material calculation guide shows how much cement, sand and aggregate a pour needs.

How to pick a cement supplier near your site
Twenty national makers run plants in 20 states in our records, and the state table shows which of them sit close to your site. Shortlist two or three with a plant near you, then compare them on delivery record, test certificates and credit terms. A lower rate per bag does not help if your mixer or pump sits idle waiting for a late truck. The building materials guide covers the other materials a site buys.
Once the cement supply is settled, the next decision is the machine. See how equipment finance lets you pay for a mixer or pump in instalments.
Plant locations and product ranges change. Confirm current details with the company, and confirm machine prices and finance terms with the OEM, dealer or bank before deciding.
