Hindalco buys from 26,881 suppliers a year, yet its “For suppliers and vendors” page carries a Log in button and no Register button. Hindalco vendor registration for a new firm, as of November 2026, starts with contact: the Vendor option on the company’s Write to us form, or the plant or mine that would buy your service, because the supplier portal is a login for firms already on the books. After contact, Hindalco screens you on tax compliance, finances, litigation and ESG, gives you trial orders as an empanelled vendor, and approves you only after it has rated your work. No fee is published anywhere on the company’s site.

For a machine owner, the useful question is which Hindalco unit needs excavators, loaders and tippers, and how to get in front of it. Hindalco Industries, the Aditya Birla Group’s aluminium and copper company, reported 35 mining assets in its integrated annual report for FY 2025-26: 17 operational mines, 11 non-operational and 7 greenfield projects. Most of the earthwork lies there, and in the smelter expansions.

Where Hindalco vendor registration starts

The Hindalco page for suppliers and vendors has three items. “For queries” links to the Write to us form on the contact page. “Existing suppliers/vendors” links to a Supplier Relationship Management login at crm.hindalco.com. “Useful documents” holds one file, the Hindalco Supplier Code of Conduct. Nothing on the page, or in the site’s sitemap as read on 2 November 2026, offers a new-supplier form or a tenders page.

The Write to us form opens with three enquiry types: Vendor, CSR Partner and Customer. The next box asks for a type of query (Aluminium, Copper, Specialty alumina or Corporate) and then a category. We read the category lists the page loads for itself, without submitting anything. They are product lines such as Primary Aluminium Domestic, FRP Domestic and Primary Copper Domestic. None mentions mining, transport or services, so a hire firm has to pick the business closest to the unit it wants to serve and say so in the 500-character message.

The supplier login runs on plain HTTP on port 8010, and it did not respond from our server on 2 November 2026. The archived copy from March 2023 shows a user name, a password and a “Forget Password?” link, with no sign-up option. Hindalco’s annual report says a new digital vendor onboarding tool was introduced in FY 2025-26, and that a single platform now carries suppliers from enquiries and bid submissions to orders and invoice payments. It does not name the tool or publish its address, which suggests access is given after Hindalco has accepted you as a vendor.

Which Hindalco unit buys what you sell?

Each mine page on hindalco.com gives its output and method. The table pulls out what matters to someone quoting for earthwork, haulage or machine hire.

Unit (district, state) Output, company figure What the company says about the work
Lohardaga bauxite mines (Lohardaga, Jharkhand) 31.9 LTPA bauxite 16 leases; ripper mining with zero blasting; bauxite railed from Lohardaga, Richuguta and Tori sidings to Muri and Renukoot
Samri mines (Balrampur, Chhattisgarh) 0.96 MTPA bauxite Semi-mechanised opencast; rippers, simultaneous backfilling and screening machines; feeds Renukoot
Baphlimali mines (Rayagada, Odisha) 8.5 MTPA capacity Fully mechanised opencast feeding Utkal Alumina; 1,425 TPH crusher and an 18.5 km covered conveyor
Maliparbat mines (Koraput, Odisha) 0.6 MTPA bauxite Proposal to raise output to 0.9 MTPA; feeds Renukoot
Gare Palma IV/4 (Raigarh, Chhattisgarh) 1 MTPA coal Drilling and blasting with a shovel-dumper fleet and a 600 TPH in-pit crusher
Kathautia (Palamau, Jharkhand) 0.8 MTPA coal Opencast; coal moved by truck to Rajhara siding, then by rail to Mahan
Chakla (Latehar, Jharkhand) 5.3 MTPA peak, per mine plan Greenfield; commissioning targeted for H1 FY 2026-27
Meenakshi (Sundargarh, Odisha) 12 MTPA tentative peak Greenfield; commissioning targeted for FY 2028-29

The annual report also lists Bandha in Madhya Pradesh as a captive coal mine targeted for FY 2026-27. On the plant side, the smelters are at Renukoot in Uttar Pradesh, Mahan near Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh, and Hirakud and Aditya (Lapanga, Sambalpur) in Odisha. Aditya is the one to watch for site work: Phase 1 of its smelter expansion (181 KT) is due in FY 2027-28 and Phase 2 (193 KT) in FY 2028-29, alongside a new Aditya alumina refinery due in FY 2027-28.

The Hindalco contact addresses page lists an office and phone number for each of these units. For example, it gives +91 (06526) 224112 for the Lohardaga mines division and +91 (07778) 274325 for Samri. A machine owner near one of these mines will get further by asking that office who handles contracts for overburden, haulage or equipment hire than by writing to the Mumbai head office.

What happens after you make contact

Hindalco’s annual report describes three stages. Identified vendors are those willing to do business with the company. Empanelled vendors are eligible for trial orders. Approved vendors are those selected after a performance evaluation. So the first work you get is likely to be a trial order, and how that job goes decides whether you stay on.

Before any relationship starts, Hindalco runs a risk assessment. Its online due-diligence screen rates a vendor low, medium or high risk on genuineness, reputation, legal and criminal history, financial health, government links and ESG. A recently incorporated firm with little experience scores medium. A vendor whose physical address cannot be checked, or who has not complied with tax and regulatory formalities, scores high. The report states that suppliers rated high risk “stand to lose the opportunity to receive enquiries or business from Hindalco”. Larger suppliers face physical assessments scored out of 100, where a score below 70 means high risk.

Assessments are tailored to the supplier type: manufacturers, traders, service providers, transporters and authorised dealers. Contractors at site also go through Hindalco’s Contractor Safety Management process, with mandatory site safety orientation, job-specific training and a permit-to-work system.

Documents to keep ready

Hindalco publishes no document checklist for new vendors. What it does publish is what the screen checks, and that tells you what to have ready before the unit asks:

  • GST and PAN records, with returns filed, since tax non-compliance is a high-risk flag
  • Proof of a working office or yard at the address you give, because an address that cannot be validated is also high risk
  • Recent financial statements showing liquidity and no credit defaults
  • Labour law and safety compliance records for your operators and helpers
  • A signed copy of the Supplier Code of Conduct acknowledgement

The code itself (document SPF/Sourcing/ANX-Sourcing SOP/HSCOC/009/05, dated August 2023) asks suppliers to pay wages, overtime and rest days as the law requires, to keep no child or forced labour, and to follow a zero-tolerance policy on safety violations. Its last page is an acknowledgement block for the supplier’s name, signer, signature and date. Hindalco can audit you with prior notice. If a breach is not fixed in a time it accepts, it can end the relationship and “blacklist such suppliers from the Aditya Birla Group of Companies”.

Is Hindalco vendor registration free?

No fee is published for supplier onboarding on any Hindalco page we read on 2 November 2026. The company’s only fraud notice is about fake job offers. It says Hindalco has not appointed or authorised any person or agency to act on its behalf, and that it has filed police complaints. There is no separate warning about vendor registration, so the safe reading is that no published route to becoming a Hindalco vendor involves paying anyone. Concerns about a Hindalco employee or a code breach go to the Aditya Birla Group ethics helpline, 1800-102-6969, or abg.ethicshelpline@integritymatters.in, both printed in the code.

Payment, MSME status and cash flow

Hindalco’s FY 2025-26 business responsibility report gives accounts payable days of 59.32, up from 47.07 a year earlier. That is an average across everything Hindalco buys, including imported raw material, and your own terms will sit in the work order. Plan for two months of diesel, operator wages and EMI before the first bill clears, and price equipment finance on that basis before you add a machine for a Hindalco job.

Two figures help a small firm. Hindalco’s spend with MSMEs rose to Rs 5,582 crore in FY 2025-26, and the number of MSME business partners rose from 7,398 to 9,075. It also runs a vendor bill discounting platform, where an eligible supplier can take early payment on an approved invoice at a discount the supplier chooses to accept. Keep your Udyam certificate current and tell the unit you are an MSME at the start.

Machines Hindalco mine work calls for

Hindalco does not publish a list of the machines it hires, so the mine pages are the guide. Gare Palma runs a shovel-dumper fleet, which for a contractor means a 30-tonne class excavator loading dumpers. The Komatsu PC300LC-8M0 fits that work, with a 34,100 kg operating weight, a 1.6 to 2.3 cubic metre bucket and 260 HP, at about Rs 1.04–1.16 crore (indicative, as of Nov 2026). At Lohardaga and Samri the company names Xcentric rippers, an attachment that mounts on a hydraulic excavator, which brings 20-tonne class machines such as the Tata Hitachi EX 210LC Prime (20,600 to 20,800 kg, 0.9 to 1.17 cubic metre bucket, 131 HP, about Rs 57–63 lakh, indicative, as of Nov 2026) into play. Rail sidings such as Lohardaga, Tori and Rajhara need loaders, the class of the Liugong 856H MAX (3.5 cubic metre bucket, 18,350 kg, 225 HP, about Rs 61.8–68.3 lakh, indicative, as of Nov 2026).

Public sector miners work differently. Coal India puts large HEMM hire for overburden on GeM with fixed minimum bucket sizes, as the guide to Coal India vendor registration shows, and NMDC vendor registration covers excavator hiring tenders at its iron ore mines. The wider picture of mining work in India is in the mining guide.

Before you call the Lohardaga or Gare Palma office, compare excavator models and prices against the bench size that mine runs.

Facts come from Hindalco’s For suppliers and vendors page, contact and contact-addresses pages, mine pages and fraud notice on hindalco.com, the Hindalco Supplier Code of Conduct (August 2023) and the Integrated Annual Report 2025-26 with its business responsibility report, as read on 2 November 2026, plus an archived March 2023 copy of the supplier login page. Machine prices are indicative and vary by variant, location and date. Portals, documents and supplier terms change.
