GMR vendor registration is done on the group’s e-procurement portal, procurement.gmrgroup.in, which Hyderabad airport’s tender page names as the place for RFPs and enquiries as of November 2026. The work itself is bought by GMR’s project companies: the Delhi, Hyderabad, Goa-Mopa and Nagpur airports, three highway concessions, and the Warora and Kamalanga power plants. GMR’s own FY 2025-26 reports say onboarding checks PF, ESI, GST and PAN registrations and past compliance. GMR publishes no registration fee, and its caution notice says group companies do not collect money from the public through such go-betweens. Big new builds often go to an EPC contractor first: Bhogapuram airport’s EPC works were awarded to L&T.
For a supplier, “GMR” means two listed companies. GMR Airports Limited (GAL) holds the airports. GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited (GPUIL) holds the power plants, the road concessions and the Krishnagiri industrial region. Neither company places orders for an airport runway or a road overlay. That is done by the project company that owns the asset, and it matters which one you approach.
Where GMR vendor registration actually happens
The group website, gmrgroup.com, carries no supplier or vendor page in its sitemap as read on 2 November 2026. The clearest live pointer sits on the Hyderabad airport tenders page. Its current and closed tender lists were empty when read, and below them the page says that more RFPs and enquiries are on procurement.gmrgroup.in. It also gives a named GMR email address for firms that want to share their portfolio or credentials.
The portal itself did not answer from our test server on 2 November 2026, so its present screens could not be read. The Internet Archive recorded its login address responding as late as July 2026. The archived 2022 pages show a “GMR Group Supplier Registration Process” running on abcProcure, a platform of e-Procurement Technologies Ltd. Accepting GMR’s Supplier Code of Conduct was a mandatory step, and the closing declaration authorised GMR to pay any dues by e-payment into the bank account the vendor gave. Steps and screens may have changed since, so treat that as background.
Two other GMR pages are worth knowing. Delhi airport runs an Upcoming Tenders page where DIAL lists areas of work and gives a registration link for each; on 2 November 2026 its open list showed no data. DIAL’s disclaimer says that page is not an expression of interest or a bid, and filling it creates no contract. GPUIL’s website has a tender page too, but it held only test entries dated 2001 with placeholder text when read.
Which GMR companies buy civil works and machine hire?
The FY 2025-26 annual reports of GAL and GPUIL list what each company is building or maintaining. The right-hand column is our reading of where a hire firm or small contractor fits, so confirm the scope with the company before you quote.
| GMR company | Asset | What the FY 2025-26 report says | Where a hire firm may fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Delhi International Airport Ltd (GAL 74%, AAI 26%) | IGI Airport, Delhi | Terminal 2 refurbished in October 2025; GAL selected in August 2025 for a 50.5-acre Cargo City | Cargo City site works, paving and earthwork |
| GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd | RGIA, Hyderabad | Cargo Terminal 1 expansion under way, due in FY 2027 | Cargo-area civil and yard works |
| GMR Goa International Airport Ltd | Mopa, Goa | 5.4 million passengers in FY 2026, about 47% of Goa’s air traffic; no new build named | Upkeep and small works |
| GMR Nagpur International Airport Ltd | Nagpur | Operations taken over on 25 June 2026; renovation project with equity already funded | Renovation packages as they come up |
| GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Ltd | Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh | EPC works awarded to L&T; airport inaugurated on 1 August 2026 | Construction ran through L&T |
| GMR highway companies | Ambala-Chandigarh, Chennai Outer Ring Road, Adloor-Gundla-Pochanpalli (888 lane-km) | Pochanpalli to get a 40 mm bituminous overlay and major maintenance on 56 lane-km before handback to NHAI, due September 2026 | Overlay, patching and road upkeep |
| GMR Warora Energy and GMR Kamalanga Energy | Coal plants in Maharashtra (600 MW) and Odisha | Kamalanga plans a 350 MW Unit 4 | Plant civil upkeep; future unit works |
| GMR Krishnagiri SIR Ltd | Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu | Infrastructure built across about 61 acres in FY 2026 | Site grading and internal roads |
Bhogapuram shows how big GMR builds are contracted. The GMR Airports annual report for 2025-26 says the EPC works were awarded to Larsen & Toubro, with construction starting in December 2023. A machine owner on that job would have needed an L&T vendor code, which the guide to L&T vendor registration covers. Airports of the Airports Authority of India are a separate buyer, explained in the guide to AAI vendor registration.
What GMR checks when it onboards a vendor
GMR has published no document list for its portal. What it has published is how it vets vendors. The business responsibility reports in both FY 2025-26 annual reports use the same words for the measures it takes with value chain partners:
- Vendor due diligence: verification of PF, ESI, GST and PAN registrations during onboarding, and a check of compliance history.
- Contract terms: every vendor contract carries clauses on labour law compliance and timely payment of statutory dues.
- Monthly checks: GMR verifies the PF and ESI challans and registers vendors submit, and vendors give a monthly declaration that dues are paid.
- Enforcement: non-compliance can lead to penalties, suspension of payment or disqualification from future work.
So a hire firm without its own PF and ESI codes will struggle, even with good machines. Keep GST and PAN papers, the PF and ESI registration numbers, a cancelled cheque for the bank account, and copies of past work orders ready before you approach a GMR site. The reports also say GMR assessed 66% of GAL’s value chain partners and 81% of GPUIL’s, by value of business, on health, safety and working conditions.
How much GMR buys from small firms, and how fast it pays
Two figures in the same reports matter to a small contractor:
| Measure (consolidated) | GMR Airports FY 2026 | GPUIL FY 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Inputs sourced directly from MSMEs and small producers | 39.86% (23.97% in FY 2025) | 34.48% (24% in FY 2025) |
| Accounts payable days | 56 (55 in FY 2025) | 83 (90 in FY 2025) |
The MSME share rose in both companies, which helps a Udyam-registered firm. Payable days are an average across all spending, including revenue share paid to government and fuel, so they are not your credit period. Still, a figure of 83 days at the power and highway arm is a warning to price in a long wait. If a GMR order needs another roller or grader, check what equipment finance would cost against that wait before you sign.
Is GMR vendor registration free?
GMR publishes no supplier registration fee, and none of the pages read on 2 November 2026 asked for one. It has no warning written for suppliers alone. Its group caution notice, about people posing as GMR staff or agents and collecting money, says GMR Group and its group companies “do not ask, solicit or accept any monies in any form” from the public in that manner. Its fraud alert page adds that GMR does not appoint agents or brokers for jobs, and that messages from free email IDs claiming to represent GMR are fraudulent.
The same logic fits a vendor code. Anyone selling a paid “GMR registration” is not acting for GMR, and a Gmail address is not a GMR procurement team.
The supplier code of conduct you accept
GAL’s policy page links the Supplier Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, a December 2022 document that applies across GMR Group. For a hire or labour firm, the clauses with teeth are plain. No payment or gift to GMR employees or officials to win work. No child, forced or bonded labour, and at least minimum wages with all legally mandated benefits. No harassment, abuse or coercion of your workers. You may not use the GMR name or logo without written permission, and a contract won by fraud or misrepresentation can be voided at GMR’s option.
Machines a GMR airport or highway job needs
GMR’s current list leans to paving, overlay and site work more than bulk excavation. Cargo yards and road overlays need fine grading, which is the work of a grader such as the Mahindra Roadmaster G90 (8,596 kg, 74 HP, 3,000 mm moldboard, about Rs 41.8–46.2 lakh, indicative, as of Nov 2026). Subgrade and embankment layers then need an 11-tonne soil compactor like the ACE ASD 115 (11,000 kg, 112 HP, 2,130 mm drum, about Rs 30.4–33.6 lakh, indicative, as of Nov 2026). Bituminous overlay work calls for a tandem roller, and the full range of compactors and road rollers covers both types. For EPC-led builds, the profiles in the top EPC companies in India list show which contractor to approach first.
Your next step: track live airport, highway and power-plant packages on the DesiMachines opportunities desk and register with the GMR company that owns the site.
Facts come from the Hyderabad and Delhi airport tender pages, GMR Group’s caution notice and fraud alert pages, the FY 2025-26 annual reports of GMR Airports and GMR Power and Urban Infra, GMR’s Supplier Code of Conduct, and archived 2022 pages of the GMR procurement portal, as read on 2 November 2026. Machine prices are indicative and vary by variant, location and date. Portals, documents and supplier terms change.
