Contractors ask who supplies ready-mix concrete near their site. Among the ready mix concrete companies in India, our records name seven national makers, and between them they have plants in 21 states. The state table below shows who has a plant in your state, and regional makers are listed on each state page.

If you buy ready-mix concrete (RMC) for your pours, this list shows who supplies your state. If you run the machines behind it, from transit mixers and concrete pumps to the wheel loaders at a batching plant, the same list shows which makers already work in your state, and the machines section below covers the fleet that work needs.

Ready mix concrete companies in India with plants in several states

Seven makers sit on the national list in our records, meaning plants in three or more states when all of a company’s products are counted. Four of them list plants in 16 or more states, while Star Cement is listed with the one state where its RMC plant is on record.

Where are the ready-mix concrete plants, state by state?

Twenty-one states have a national plant on record, and Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have the most, with six national makers each. Goa, Maharashtra, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh have five each, and Andhra Pradesh and Assam are among the states with four. The table gives plant towns for each maker, and 14 regional makers are listed across the state pages.

Which machines handle ready-mix concrete on site?

Three kinds of machine do most of the work between the aggregate stockpile and the formwork. At the batching plant, wheel loaders feed the aggregate bins. On the road, transit mixers and concrete mixers carry the mix from the plant to your site, with the drum turning so the concrete stays workable.

At the site, concrete pumps place the mix at height or over a distance that a chute from the truck cannot reach. Pumps come as truck-mounted boom pumps and as line pumps that push the mix through pipes.

These machines depend on each other. A late truck, or a pump that stops mid-pour, leaves a gap between loads, and that gap can become a cold joint, a weak seam in a slab or column. If you own the machines, wash out drums and pump lines after every pour, because concrete left behind sets hard. If you buy the concrete, the next section shows how to check a supplier’s fleet.

Before you add a transit mixer or a pump to your fleet, look at equipment finance and compare the terms. For more on each machine, see the concrete mixer guide and the concrete pump guide.

Most enquired models on DesiMachines for this work. Transit and self-loading mixers: AJAX ARGO 4500 and Tata Signa 2830.K 8 Cum REPTO RMC; concrete pumps: AJAX ASP 3009 and Aquarius 1003 E; wheel loaders: Cat 966H and JCB 440-5.

How do contractors choose a supplier of ready-mix concrete?

Start with the road between the plant and your site. Concrete starts to stiffen soon after batching, so a short, clear run often matters more than a lower rate. Ask whether the rate covers delivery and pumping or charges them separately, and what you pay if a truck waits at your gate.

Then check delivery reliability. Ask how many transit mixers the plant runs and what backup it has when one fails. Get the mix design and the cube test reports for your grade, and ask whether the cement it uses carries the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) mark. Keep every delivery challan: it should show when the concrete left the plant, which matters if a load arrives stiff.

Settle the credit period and the minimum order in writing before the first pour. Both depend on your volume, so work that out early: the guide on how much concrete a job needs shows the method, and every quote starts from that number.

How to choose a ready mix plant near your pour

Seven national makers have plants in 21 states in our records, and four of them list plants in 16 or more. Use the state table to find who has a plant near your site, then read the state page for regional makers before you ask for quotes. Whichever plant you choose, the pour depends on the mixers and pumps that move the concrete, so check them as carefully as the rate.

For a single project, hiring a machine can make more sense than buying a mixer or a pump, so compare both before you commit.

Plant locations and product ranges change. Confirm current details with the company, and confirm machine prices and finance terms with the OEM, dealer or bank before deciding.
