The Tata Hitachi EX 1900-6 is a 190-ton ultra-class hydraulic excavator for continuous mass overburden stripping, high-volume coal loading, and deep excavation at India’s largest mine sites. It features a Cummins QSKTA38-CE 12-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine delivering around 1,086 HP at 1,800 rpm, one of the highest outputs in any Indian mining excavator. With an operating weight of about 191,000 kg, it provides exceptional stability for massive bucket loading on deep bench floors. The maximum digging depth is approximately 8,180 mm, reaching about 15,250 mm dump height, covering all requirements for loading ultra-class haul trucks. The bucket capacity of 4. 4 to 12. 0 m³ allows rapid loading with very few passes, significantly cutting loading times at high-production sites. The OHS with variable-displacement pumps and computer-controlled engine-pump management maintains smooth operation under maximum load. A spacious ergonomic cabin with advanced diagnostics supports operator productivity and machine monitoring during continuous operation.
