The Tata Hitachi ZAXIS 490H Ultra is a 48-ton large-class hydraulic excavator for heavy quarry loading, open-pit mining, and high-volume bulk earthmoving across India. It features an Isuzu turbocharged diesel engine at 2,000 rpm, providing 345 HP for smooth performance under heavy mining loads. With an operating weight of about 47,400 to 47,800 kg, this Tata Hitachi excavator maintains structural mass for deep pit excavations and large bucket loading on active mining benches. The maximum digging depth ranges from 6,053 mm for the standard arm to over 10,030 mm for long arm configurations, covering all Indian open-pit mining depth needs. Bucket options from 1. 9 to 3. 1 m³ allow for high material throughput per cycle in bulk mining and quarry applications. The HIOS IIIB hydraulic system reduces power losses, enhancing swing torque and movement speed for faster cycle times.
