The BEML BD355 is a 48.7-tonne mining crawler dozer designed for larger pushing and material-moving applications. Its 416 HP engine works with a 13.0 m³ blade to handle substantial volumes per pass. Drawbar pull reaches 785 kN, providing strong pushing capability through dense overburden. Operators can choose between giant and multi-shank ripper configurations depending on the ground being worked. Ground bearing pressure of about 96 kPa suits firmer mining surfaces, while 500 mm of ground clearance helps on rough pit floors. The 760-litre fuel tank supports extended working shifts. A 24.5 m³ coal-blade option is available for higher-volume handling, along with straight-tilt, angle and semi-U configurations. The BD355 sits above the BD155 and below the BD475-2 in BEML's mining range. This makes it suitable when daily material movement has increased beyond the capacity of a smaller mining dozer. Pricing is available on request from mining dozer dealers and can be considered according to project requirements. Coal, quarry and overburden work are suitable applications. Contractors requiring both ripping and pushing can use the machine across different ground conditions.
