The BEML BD475-2 is a 100-tonne mining crawler dozer positioned at the top of BEML's range. Its 850 HP engine provides the power required for large-scale mining work, while drawbar pull reaches 1,700 kN. The 25.6 m³ blade moves material at a scale smaller machines cannot match. A variable giant ripper is available for harder bench material, adding up to 6.3 tonnes and reaching 1,800 mm. This provides deeper breaking capability before the blade takes over material movement. Ground bearing pressure of about 124 kPa reflects the machine's operating size. Firm haul roads and pit floors suit this configuration better than soft ground. A 1,520-litre fuel tank supports extended shifts, while 600 mm of ground clearance helps clear rough pit surfaces. The BD475-2 is intended for large coal and metal mining operations rather than general construction work. Its large blade capacity can reduce passes during high-volume material movement. Buyers requiring very high pushing and ripping capacity can consider this dozer machine when the BD355 no longer provides enough production. The model represents BEML's largest crawler dozer option in this range.
